So how the hell did you end up here then? Was it the link from the midget clown porn site or was it an accidental random event? Of course you'll claim the latter but who am I to call you a liar.
Anyway welcome to the site for hooper dRives the boat. The site is loaded with rectal blathering, hidden links and mistimed wrongunry but it should help you understand the band a little better. Sorry, no pics of 3ft Bozo having a threesome either.
hooper dRives the boat are a multi legged, anti-muso, diversity act that defy logic, pigeonholes or reason. Playing buoyant lo-fi rock rhythms underpinning a vibrant three chord punk-blues harmonica edge strongly influenced by irish folk and joyous funk. With lyrical ideas secondary to the unrepentent music forge hooper dRives the boat (and yes the "R" is meant to be in capitals, it's not a spelling mistake you oh, so clever kids) play the music that the world needs to hear. Heroes for those too crap or timid to attempt their own music, villains to the muso wankers that think they rule the aural wasteland and a joker to anyone who believes in the hat. I'm bored now, so are you, listen to the tunes. It'll pass the time until armageddon.
Why this name? I could come up with an emo tinged reason, deep of character and plunging various hidden meanings but no, it's a line from Jaws. I watched it the other day and realised what an awesome film it is, I've seen it many times but never watched it. It's truly a classic.
We are part of Wrongun Records and are proud of it. The idea of free sharing of music is one we want to make happen without anal rock stars and their law suits. Wrongun release a record with the strict instructions that it be copied and then passed on. Take one of their records, listen to it, burn a copy for yourself, photocopy or scan the cover and then pass it on to someone who will do the same and so on, thus creating a chain of free music distribution. Wrongun purposefully make record covers in black and white and as simple as possible so the quality won't deteriorate when being copied. Music is for the people, not the suits behind the label. Join us in our campaign and hopefully more independent record labels will follow.
